Come experience serenity at its best! The start will take participants up Hamilton Avenue which is listed on the Arkansas Historic Register. It continues along Hwy 64B until intersecting Hwy 64 at approximately the 5 mile mark. The fun really begins when you hit what the locals call "Bay Road" (Hwy 163). This road is designated as part of the Arkansas Heritage Civil War Trail and Crowley's Ridge Scenic Byway.

This marathon is part of Mainly Marathons' "Riverboat Marathon Series" (7 marathons; 7 states; 7 days). The course is run in Lake Chicot State Park and is 20 laps of a 1.31 mile out & back on tree-lined park roads through campground and cabin areas. It's paved and very flat.
