The Equinox Marathon is one of the oldest and most rugged marathons in the US. It's a loop-style course starting at the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a mix of road, xc ski trails, double track, and single track trails. From miles 8 to 13, the course takes runners on a gut-wrenching climb to the summit of Ester Dome which is a 1,500 ft. climb.
