The Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon starts and finishes at the 6th Cavalry museum and features two loops in the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park. The mostly paved course is challenging but not extraordinarily difficult. Numerous runners have qualified for the Boston Marathon on this course. Approximately 23 miles of the double loop portion of the course winds through the historic military park.
