Perfect to qualify for Boston, the Marshall University Marathon course is flat, fast, and USATF certified. Runners start on 3rd Avenue next to Cam Henderson Center and run through downtown Huntington past Pullman Square, next to the Ohio River, and through Ritter Park among other places. The highlight is to run through Marshall University campus on their way to a goal-line finish in Marshall Football Stadium.

Pros-
1. Amenities- gives out a jacket and usually something extra. Nice medals and awards
2. Easy logistics- packet pickup and start have free parking on campus
3. Course is fast
4. Finish line- finished on the football field and you can carry a football on the end

Could be a pro or con-
1. Double loop course. I didn't mind though

Con-
1. I don't remember much food at the finish (I finished in 3:28)
