Majestically framing the west side of the valley, Red Rock Canyon is the most notable natural treasure in the Las Vegas area. The course is an out & back on Scenic Loop Dr. with views of Mojave Desert vistas, sandstone formations, desert vegetation, and wildlife. The course has significant climbs from miles 2 - 8 (900' climb) and 14 - 18 (1000' climb), but great downhills await after each.

With great trails, including the Rubber Duck Tree, the north side of Cottonwood Valley promises fun, fast trails with stunning views of the Red Rock cliffs.

All within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, this race starts at Boulder Beach and leads you onto the paved Mountain Loop Trail until you reach the packed-dirt Historic Railroad Trail. Offering a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, this run will take you on an epic journey up a mountainous trail. The January desert-temperatures and views of Lake Mead make this run a must-do! The course is an out and back on the very scenic Lakeshore and Northshore Drives. Marathon runners will do the half-marathon route twice.
