The Kroll's Diner Bismarck Marathon attracts runners from all over the United States and Canada. The course is USATF certified and so serves as a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon and New York City Marathon. The full marathon course consists of two laps of the half marathon course which is an out & back from Cottonwood Park to the University of Mary on paved streets and paved bike trails. The course is flat as a pancake except for one 150' climb at mile 5 (which runners will do twice).
