It seems like a lot of people are really disappointed with races that the Competitor Group hosts. I have run 2 halves and 2 fulls and I haven't had a bad experience yet. I absolutely love running with the big crowds -- fighting your way through is half the fun! And I think it's really cool that they thin-out after the half marathons break off. That gives me the last half of the race to work on form and breathing. Personally, I don't need a lot of crowd support, so running the last half in a more quiet environment is great.. and you don't have to share the aid stations anymore with the half folks. I do agree that they could work on their overall organization, but all-in-all, they've all been good races to me.

This race is obviously tailored to the half marathoners. The first half of the race was awesome and it was a rush running in a full field (even though it was crowded at times). The last half of the race was a big disappointment though with minimal support. All I could think about was how nice it would have been to only do the half marathon. The remainder of the course was completely uneventful and lacked the support of the first half. Then to boot, there was hardly any food left when I finished. Overall, very disappointing.
