The Spinx Carolina Marathon utilizes the popular Swamp Rabbit Trail (SRT), a “rails to trails” greenway connecting downtown Greenville and Travelers Rest located north of the city. The former rail bed is relatively flat, making it an ideal choice for the marathon route. The course also ventures into Furman University allowing runners to experience this picturesque 800 acre college campus located at the foot of Paris Mountain.
